Who operates NoTitle

NoTitle is operated by Vivek Kumar, Madhapur, Hyderabad, India. This notice covers the NoTitle application, accounts, Premium passes, safety processes and Moderator Chat. The version shown on this page identifies the notice you accepted.

You can also raise any complaint in the app through Moderator Chat; each case gets a reference and a status. Decisions about your account include a reference and can be appealed through Moderator Chat; an appeal is reviewed by someone other than the person who made the original decision. Applicable statutory routes remain available. NoTitle does not provide emergency services; if you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Information we process

For an account we process your username, a password hash, a recovery-code verifier, display name, declared gender (you may choose "Prefer not to say"), whether you opted in to gender-based matching, an optional bio, matching preferences and consent records. Optional professional information (industry, role, experience band, interests and discussion topics) is processed only when you choose to provide it. We do not verify your employer or professional claims. Guest identities and their preferences are temporary and exist only in server memory. We do not require an email address and there is no email-based recovery.

Ordinary chat messages are not stored. While a conversation is open, its text is held only in a short, bounded buffer in server memory (at most 30 messages or 64 KiB) so it can be delivered and survive a brief reconnection. It is never written to the database, logs or backups, and it is cleared when the conversation ends or the server restarts. Audio travels using WebRTC encryption; we do not record or transcribe it. Exceptions you control: if you report a conversation, the messages you select and your description become a separately retained, encrypted safety record; Moderator Chat is saved support history. Neither is covered by ordinary-chat deletion. We cannot stop another participant from copying text, taking screenshots or recording their own device.

For Premium passes we process the pass, amount, purchase and payment references, status, start and end of your Premium time, receipts and necessary financial records. Razorpay's hosted checkout collects payment details; we never receive or store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs or net-banking credentials.

Purposes and choices

We use information to create and protect identities, match mutually compatible participants, deliver conversations, maintain accepted friendships, handle support and safety, provide paid features, respond to rights requests and meet applicable legal duties. Gender-based matching is optional: a Premium member who chooses "Male" or "Female" is matched only with people who declared that gender and opted in. You can turn this off at any time in your profile. Optional professional fields provide only weak matching relevance. You can withdraw optional processing in Account, Privacy without losing free features.

We keep aggregate operational measurements (counts, capacity, performance and errors). Server logs record request routes, status codes and timings, not message text or request bodies. We do not build individual browsing timelines, sell personal information, use session replay or show advertising.

What others can see

Your current peer receives only your display name, declared gender, topic and bio, plus what you choose to say. Do not share confidential employer material, identifying details or another person's information. Pseudonymity is not a promise that nobody can identify you.

Authorised staff can access saved cases, selected report evidence and necessary records within their role and purpose; content access is audited. There is no staff viewer for ordinary live chats.

Service providers

Retention, security and rights

The Data Retention Policy explains default periods and lawful exceptions. Ending a conversation clears its buffer; it does not erase an already submitted report or saved support case. Deleting an account disables access immediately and starts profile minimisation, while required financial, safety and legal subsets may remain restricted. Restored backups are checked against an independent deletion journal before the service reopens.

We use access controls, encryption, HTTPS and secure WebSockets, limited retention and operational safeguards. No system can promise absolute security. Use Account, Privacy to correct information, manage purposes, request an export or delete your account; if that is unavailable, use Moderator Chat or contact the grievance officer above.

NoTitle is for people aged 18 and over. Report suspected underage use through the safety route. Material changes to purposes or this notice are versioned and presented as required; optional processing is never silently expanded.
